An interesting Industrial Sales Manager job has just become available at a leading multinational company based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, this is a role for a driven sales professional.
About the Industrial Sales Manager Role :
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for driving and achieving profitable sales by optimising the product and customer portfolio.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify target market-sector-customers and future requirements and to provide product, service, technical and engineering information to customers
- Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers; and servicing accounts, planning and organising sales call schedule
- Prepares RFQs, target price and market information / related customer documents; working closely with Technical, Customer Service, Pricing, Product Management and SCM to ensure key KPIs are aligned
- Demonstrate cost reductions and operations improvements, engagement based on Engineering Based Selling methodologies
- Develop customer's competency by providing technical information and training
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending training, networking with industrial partners or establishing personal network; participating in professional societies
- Provide internal stakeholders with relevant market and sales information in monthly meetings or Competitive Watch reports and updates
- Active reporting in Salesforce.com with new accounts acquisitions and positive pipeline management
- Manage & guide sales team towards adoption of sales best practices and achievement of sales targets
To succeed in this Industrial Sales Manager job, you will need to be self motivated and possess a strategic mind and the ability to influence internal stakeholders positively in contributing to sales achievements.
Key Requirements :
- Qualified engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training, and demonstrating good technical aptitude
- Relevant direct sales experience of at least 5 years, with a proven track record in new customer acquisition
- Past sales experience in the services / B2C industries preferable
- Excellent communication & networking skills
- Skilled in business negotiations and presentation of ideas
- Proactive, driven, “can-do” attitude
- Competent in value-based selling techniques and strategic sales approach
- Strong leadership skills & team player with a self-starter mentality
- Comfortable dealing with complexity and changes
- Proficient in MS Office including CRM software such as Salesforce.
