Liquid Terminal Operations, Senior Manager

A prominent port is seeking a Liquid Terminal Operations, Senior Manager to be based across Malaysia (Penang, Klang, Malacca, Johor, or Kuantan). Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this job leads a team to ensure loading, discharging and transit of liquid cargo are according to customer satisfaction while ensure berth productivity and port turnarounds.

About the Liquid Terminal Operations, Senior Manager Role:
As the Liquid Terminal Operations, Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing resources and manpower deployment while ensuring Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) are safeguarded at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Exceeding customer satisfaction, retention, and company goals by driving the company's operating capabilities
• Leading and contributing to the delivery of the annual operation budget to ensure the port's businesses are professionally managed
• Taking responsibility for safety and health throughout the operation, including proper handling of dangerous goods
• Ensuring that vessels meet all obligations in a safe and efficient manner and comply with port statutory and requirements
• Being a strategic partner on the leadership team and working closely with the team to ensure that they are meeting performance expectations
• Becoming the reference and focal point on marine, port terminal, and vessel issues
• Negotiating with customers and suppliers on commercial as well as operational matters

To succeed in this Liquid Terminal Operations, Senior Manager role, you must be an experienced seafarer in a leadership position operating liquid vessel and it is critical to understand the customer’s needs in order to anticipate and ensure smooth and customer satisfaction for the liquid terminal.

Key Requirements:

• Professional certificate, bachelor's degree, postgraduate diploma, or professional degree
• At least five years of experience leading port/terminal/supply base operations
• Captain or Chief Officer with at least 10 years of experience operating liquid vessels
