A leading metal manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Chain Executive to assist in the procurement of goods for production and to oversee the warehousing and logistics of goods for its local and international customers.
About the Supply Chain Executive Role:
In this position, you will be in charge of carrying out procurement functions for direct and indirect materials (S2P process), logistics and warehousing for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out the verifying and processing PR to convert to PO and liaising with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of the goods for production needs
- Source for logistics service providers and obtain RFQ for delivery based on sales demands and to perform vendor performance management
- Track delivery of goods and to ensure that proper documentations are obtained and verified (CI, PL and PO to match with GRN at site)
- Be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and to participate in vendor selection to drive down costs and obtain best service from vendors including indirect materials & heavy machinery for the company and logistics needs (contract logistics and freight forwarding)
- Be responsible for ensuring accurate data management and maintenance within the company’s SAP system
To succeed in the Supply Chain Executive role, you will need to have strong communications skills as well as be independently driven to be able to drive problem solving and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Key Requirements:
- Degree qualifications in supply chain management or any related field.
- Minimum of five years of work experience in supply chain/purchasing/order management function within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with Navision software/ERP and fluent in MS Excel for data analysis
- A self-starter, meticulous and has a critical thinking mindset
