An exciting Senior Production Planner job in a multinational world leading manufacturing and production company to be based in Penang, Malaysia has just become available.
About the Senior Production Planner Role:
In this business critical role, you will be the main interface between customers and products. As such you will need the ability to effectively coordinate internally and address issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse sales forecast with sales team
- Analyse customer demand and customer pull pattern for inventory control at plant and external warehouse
- Maintain, check and ensure accuracy of demand loading in SAP for MRP run to fulfil customer requirement based on priority
- Prepare production schedule with the objective of meeting customers’ demands and achieving 100% daily attainment
- Tracking daily schedule vs production actual output
- Attend daily operation meeting on critical supply materials
- Coordinate raw material issues with LOP Procurement Planner in affected Value Stream
- Set priorities with the operational logistic section on the movement of finished products for timely shipment
To succeed in the Senior Production Planner role, you must have strong ability to communicate to all levels of management, and cross-functionally with business partners.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least five years of working experience in order management and production in manufacturing planning function
- Good knowledge and understanding of material requirements planning
- Team player, independent, proactive, persistent, meticulous, result oriented, highly motivated, resourceful
- SAP knowledge in planning module will be advantage
- Understanding of MRP is essential
