An exciting Logistics job based in Penang has opened up at a world-leading manufacturing and production machine maker (Service Division). This role is the key person to support the engineering team and manage spare part and service, import/export and stock management related matters.
About the Logistics Role:
As part of the geographical expansion and to support the growth in the Asian market, this role will be reporting directly to the General Manager. You will serve as a direct link between customers, our engineers and the associate (logistic) departments of headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling Warranty cases
- Quotes on customer Spare Part and Service inquiries
- Purchasing of parts from Asia & Germany HQ
- Import handling of shipments
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Stock Management
- Export of damaged Parts
To succeed in this Logistics role, you will need to have the experience in dealing with customs for import/export, maintaining and building rapport with customers as well as purchasing for parts.
Key Requirements:
- Native Malaysian or Permanent Residence
- Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work/industry experience
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Fluency in Malaysian, Fluent in English, other languages a plus
- Positive self-starter attitude with organized and independent work ethic
