Supply Planning Specialist

An established chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Planning Specialist. In this job, you will function as an integral part of the team to carry out planning to ensure the sufficient supply of goods and products for the company’s production needs.

About the Supply Planning Specialist Role:
In this position, you will be leading the coordination of overall material supply and continuous improvement opportunities to ensure steady supply of goods from suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan raw materials replenishment with accordance to the production plan needs of the company
• Manage the replenishment plans of finished goods to manage healthy safety stocks and meet the supply continuity and service deliver of domestic and international needs
• Spearhead new product launches, tender activities, product development and cost competitiveness
• Manage the factory’s SLOB and S&OP process to optimise inventory management
• Manage end-to-end supply chain lifecycle of inventory to production to meet timeline, material leftover and decrease disposal costs
• Develop and implement cycle and safety stock plans for designated product or location with accordance to the approved supply plan process

To succeed in this Supply Planning Specialist role, you will need to have strong hands-on experience in master planning, stock management, product flow and logistics.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field of study
• Five or more years of work experience with a track record of supply and inventory planning background
• Extensive knowledge in supply chain, capacity planning, order processing and master production planning
• Strong analytical skills, influential, operations process driven and focused on accuracy
• Able to resolve conflicts, strong sense of urgency, proactive and possess the foresight to plan ahead for the business
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management capability to communicate effectively with other functional heads
