Warehouse Operation and Automation Manager

A retail holdings company is expanding aggressively in the SEA region. They are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operation and Automation Manager job to analyse their current warehouse operations and provide practical improvement plans. The successful candidate will also be part of automation projects in several sites.

About the Warehouse Operation and Automation Manager Role:
In this Warehouse Operation and Automation Manager role, you will optimise warehouse operations through process improvements and automation solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing current warehouse operations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to improve accuracy and productivity using automation and robotics systems. The Operations and Automation Manager will also be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and logistics, to ensure new initiatives meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate current warehouse operations and devise initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, including the adoption of automation solutions
• Lead end-to-end delivery of automation projects for the warehouse and create standard operating procedures for automated warehouse operations
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate automation systems with existing technology infrastructure
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely assistance for warehouse improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in warehouse management and automation solutions

To succeed in the Warehouse Operation and Automation Manager role, you will need to have solid knowledge and at least eight years of experience in warehouse operations and automation in the retail industry.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or any related field
• At least eight years of experience in warehouse operations in the retail industry, supporting at least a hundred stores
• Successful track record of improving warehouse operations through process enhancements and implementation of best practices
• Experience in developing or implementing warehouse automation solutions such as conveyor systems, automated guided vehicles, and robotic systems
• Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Positive approach, self-motivated, a team player and possess high level of integrity
