A multinational food and beverage manufacturing company is seeking a Contract Manufacturing Manager to manage and improve contract manufacturing productivity and quality in the region. In this job, you will report to the Head of Contract Manufacturing and Operations.
About the Contract Manufacturing Manager Role:
In this position, you will be managing contract manufacturing operations in the region, ensuring market supply requirements are achieved with minimal quality issues and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and initiate programmes to achieve operational excellence in OEM production operations that have impact on productivity, quality, safety, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Ensure the plant compliance to all food laws, sanitary regulations, health requirement with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), 6S Housekeeping Program, Food Safety (HACCP), Integrated Management System (IMS) and Security system
- Coordinate with planning team to ensure OEM production complies with weekly delivery schedule of finished goods
- Review the OEM production performance using statistical analysis of monitoring data, process, trend and other quality indicators and identify opportunity areas for improvement
- Report OEM KPI performance in weekly or monthly meetings
- Lead and manage new site or OEM development on technical transfer requirements
To succeed in this Contract Manufacturing Manager role, you will need to have a successful track record of managing line operations and implementing line improvement projects within the food industry.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering/manufacturing field of study
- Five years of experience managing production in the food manufacturing industry
- Experienced in managing contract manufacturers
- Knowledge of food and beverage technology, GMP, and food safety requirements
- Ability to manage and execute Production strategies across the supply chain to reduce costs and gain
- Strong leadership, influential skills, analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal/communication skills and a team player
