QC Manager

A leading metal fabrication and metal engineering solutions company in Malaysia is looking for a QC Manager to ensure the products meet factory requirements, cost-effective, good quality and are produced within a safe working environment. In this job, you will report directly to the General Manager.

About the QC Manager Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the QC checking standards to ensure product quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring QC operations and ensuring proper implementation of quality management system
• Ensuring the products and systems are meeting factory requirements and customer expectations
• Liaising with cross-function teams to develop QC protocols for new and existing products
• Driving continuous improvement of QA activities by reviewing manufacturing procedures, SOPs, and undertaking corrective actions to resolve any issues
• Ensuring the conformance of quality standards, instructions, guidelines and procedures to drive quality standardisation
• Supporting production to establish QC protocols effectively to meet customer delivery commitments in terms of time and quality
• Driving continuous improvement of QA activities by reviewing manufacturing procedures, SOPs, and undertaking corrective actions to resolve any issues
• Maintaining well-trained and highly-skilled talents in the QC team

The be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, and be able to work cross functionally with all other departments both internally and externally.

Key Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in relevant discipline
• Five or more years of quality experience in the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin due to the nature of the role
• Experience in QA/QC
• Able to multitask and be independent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical approach to problem solving
• Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the team
