An established medical device company is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Chromatography) to provide product training, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting services to customers within scientific equipment industry. In this job, you will report directly to the General Manager.
About the Field Service Engineer (Chromatography) Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for providing the best service solution and quality technical support in installing and troubleshooting the equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing in-depth technical support and technical service solutions to customers at field events which includes installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, verification, etc.
- Managing and reporting on service activities and any issues that arise that affect the quality of services
- Becoming a competent key technical advisor and ensuring a good relationship with customers
- Ensuring all work is done complying with the company’s standards, safety, quality and regulatory requirements
- Preparing damage analysis and reports
- Providing user training to customers on application and equipment maintenance
To be successful in this role, you must have strong technical hands-on knowledge in servicing and maintaining equipment within the scientific equipment industry.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in chemical engineering or a related field
- Three or more years of field service experience with liquid chromatography, gas chromatography and complex analysis tools such as failure analysis tools
- Familiar with 3-MCPD and MOSH (Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbons)/MOAH (Mineral Oil Aromatic Carbons)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Willing to travel across ASEAN countries
