Maintenance Manager

An established chemicals manufacturer is looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead all plant-related maintenance activities. In this job, you will report directly to the General Manager.

About the Maintenance Manager Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team and developing and managing the engineers under your care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers and resolve any maintenance related issues as well as lead preventive and predictive maintenance
• Maintain spare parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, and manage the department budget
• Ensure that the manufacturing facility operates in accordance with company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Provide training and continuous development on all maintenance personnel

To be successful in this role, you should have prior maintenance experience preferably in a chemical manufacturing plant.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary education in engineering (mechanical or electrical)
• At least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with extensive maintenance operations experience
• Excel at operating in a fast-paced environment
• Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
• Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent communication skills
