Electrical Automation Engineer

A highly reputable retail company is currently looking for an Electrical Automation Engineer. In this job, you will oversee the execution of electrical related automation technical services, ensuring high levels of project and operations quality while ensuring that people, health and safety, and environment are not compromised.

About the Electrical Automation Engineer Role:
In this critical role, you will be responsible for supporting engineering-related tasks including equipment maintenance/troubleshooting, project management and overseeing engineering and automation contractors in their warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and monitor capital investments in the market from the preparation to implementation in terms of technical soundness, costs and resources ensuring the alignment with standards, flawless implementation and commissioning, qualification and verification
• Ensure process and equipment reliability and safety for people, products, and the environment, and that everyone demonstrates an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations
• Provide troubleshooting support for automation-related breakdowns
• Lead minor electrical or mechanical automation CAPEX projects to improve warehouse performance
• Support the appropriate adhesion to engineering tools at site level
• Monitor Electrical Automation impact in warehouse efficiency and performance

To succeed in the Electrical Automation Engineer job, you will need to have the technical know-how in the electrical and automation field, able to effectively work with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tertiary education in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or relevant discipline
• At least five years' experience in electrical/automation/controls engineer role within a manufacturing or warehousing environment
• Well versed in PLC, HMI programming, debugging and troubleshooting
• Able to work independently and possesses strong people management skills
