Electrical Design Engineer

A global company in the water treatment business is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer job in Malaysia to provide support to the Engineering team for the technical implementation of their projects.

About the Electrical Design Engineer Role:
In this Electrical Design Engineer position, you will be using your knowledge in electrical design to design safe and reliable water systems. In this position, you will be collaborating with other stakeholders to resolve complex design and quality problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical, instrumentation and automation information to support engineering proposals (including calculations, concept drawings) and assist with cost estimates
• Assist in procurement of equipment, detailed design for ongoing projects, preparation of installation drawings and support the regional project teams
• Prepare proposals for electrical, instrumentation and automation (calculations, concept drawings) and relevant costing estimates
• Liaise with equipment and material suppliers to determine product suitability
• Assist project team to resolve technical problems
• Troubleshoot quality issues when there is an electrical component failure
• Product development and renovation

To succeed in this Electrical Design Engineer position, you will need to be capable of designing and/or preparing electrical circuits for hot water products or systems.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum three years’ working experience in a related field. Candidates coming from the water or wastewater industries will be highly regarded
• Experienced in using electrical designing software
• Resourceful, proactive, team player, willing to travel and able to work independently
