Technical Representative

A rapidly growing bioindustries manufacturer is looking for a Technical Representative to lead all development and optimisation efforts of the insulating coolant division. This position directly reports to the General Manager.

About the Technical Representative Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the design team and developing and managing the designs and customisation of new and existing equipment for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as technical lead for business for application of coolant liquid for APAC market
• Act as primary technical contact for regional commercial lead and team with moderately significant business impact
• Coordinate implementation for technology needs in new or maturing markets
• Translate product and application specifications into customer solutions based on marketability of product/process/application
• Identify emerging trends and needs a core technology component for a unit/department/group, regionally or locally focused while keeping abreast on the latest technology on engineering specifically in data centre industry
• Supervise and lead engineers and technicians who design products, plan and develop projects requirements
• Oversee the research and development of new products, procedures and testing
• Provide customer with solutions and supporting their needs

To succeed in this role, you must have prior transformer design experience.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary education in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• At least 10 years' experience in design with in-depth knowledge of transformer design and/or insulating fluid application
• Excel at operating in a fast-paced environment
• Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
• Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent communication skills
• Ability to provide training and talks to clients and at seminars
• Ability to travel extensively (50% - overseas)
