Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Brand Manager to join a highly respected organisation with a strong presence across Malaysia and Singapore. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about building brands, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to make a tangible impact on business growth.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Brand Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the success of several key product categories by supporting the Marketing Manager in all aspects of strategy development and campaign execution. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve coordinating multi-channel marketing activities that drive brand awareness while ensuring every initiative resonates with consumer needs. You will work collaboratively across departments—Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain—to guarantee seamless implementation of projects from ideation through launch. By monitoring performance metrics closely and partnering with analytics experts, you will help translate data into meaningful actions that fuel business growth. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail will be crucial as you oversee everything from volume forecasting to regulatory documentation for new products entering the market. Regular interaction with consumers during store visits will keep you attuned to evolving preferences so you can recommend timely improvements. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute significantly to building stronger brands that connect deeply with customers.

  • Assist in developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans for assigned categories by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure all activities are aligned with brand positioning and business objectives.
  • Coordinate 360° marketing campaigns encompassing digital initiatives, in-store activations, trade promotions, and new product launches to maximise brand visibility and consumer engagement.
  • Monitor sales performance, market share trends, promotional return on investment, and brand health indicators on a regular basis while preparing detailed reports for internal review.
  • Work closely with data analytics teams to gain deeper insights into brand performance across various channels and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate extensively with Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams to ensure smooth end-to-end execution of brand initiatives from concept through to market launch.
  • Support accurate volume forecasting for new product launches and promotional campaigns by leveraging historical sales data, market intelligence, and feedback from relevant departments.
  • Identify demand-supply gaps in coordination with supply chain partners to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with Consumer Insight teams or agencies to design research studies such as surveys or focus groups that uncover valuable market insights for product or communication enhancements.
  • Conduct regular store visits and engage directly with consumers at ground level to identify emerging trends and opportunities for further brand development.
  • Lead or support the rollout of category-specific marketing projects by managing timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators to ensure successful project delivery.

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Brand Manager in this organisation, you will bring proven experience from previous roles where you have supported or managed brand-building activities within fast-moving consumer goods or healthcare environments. Your academic background equips you with theoretical knowledge while your hands-on experience ensures practical application of best practices in marketing strategy execution. You are adept at using analytical tools not only for tracking performance but also for uncovering actionable insights that inform future decisions. Your interpersonal skills allow you to communicate effectively across departments—whether presenting findings or aligning on project timelines—while your collaborative nature fosters positive relationships throughout the business. You thrive when juggling multiple priorities without losing sight of quality or deadlines. A keen interest in digital trends means you are comfortable navigating social media landscapes as part of broader campaign strategies. Most importantly, your willingness to engage directly with consumers keeps your perspective grounded in real-world needs so every initiative remains relevant.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field is required as foundational preparation for this role.
  • A minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in brand management or marketing within FMCG or Consumer Healthcare sectors provides essential industry context.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, marketing dashboards, and interpreting sales data ensures effective reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and spoken English—are necessary for presenting ideas clearly across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong collaboration skills enable you to work effectively within cross-functional teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Product Development, and external agencies.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines reflects your organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools is advantageous for executing modern marketing campaigns successfully.
  • Comfort conducting fieldwork—including store visits—and engaging directly with consumers demonstrates your commitment to staying connected with market realities.
  • A proactive approach combined with analytical thinking allows you to identify opportunities for improvement based on data-driven insights.
  • A team-oriented mindset coupled with a sense of ownership ensures you contribute positively towards shared goals while supporting colleagues.
