Assistant Product Manager (Regional)

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Product Manager for the APAC region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, working closely with the Senior Category Manager and contributing significantly to marketing functions at the APAC zone level. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on diverse projects, including new product development, category strategy management, and brand health tracking.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Product Manager for the APAC region, you will play a pivotal role in supporting marketing functions at the zone level. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include acting as a key supporter at both zone and country levels, assisting in the preparation and analysis of management reports, liaising with various internal teams, and working closely with external agencies on regional brand campaigns. You will also be responsible for executing and deploying zone/regional Brand Campaigns, acting as a point of contact for matters from Headquarters, zones, and local markets/countries, as well as handling marketing administrative tasks. Your role will be crucial in driving consistency among zone levels, sharing best practices, building databases for resource sharing, and working on special assignments.

  • Act as a supporter and creator at APAC zone level, collaborating closely with Senior Category Manager.
  • Support country-level product/category related projects.
  • Contribute to integrated and consistent Marketing Plan at zone level.
  • Assist in management reports preparation and analysis.
  • Liaise closely with various internal teams to track and monitor New Product Development Progress.
  • Work closely with external agencies on regional brand campaign projects.
  • Support zone/regional Brand Campaign execution & deployment.
  • Act as point of contact for any matter from Headquarters, zone and local markets/countries.
  • Support Senior Category Manager in implementation and coordination of category/product information.
  • Responsible for marketing administrative work including creation of purchase orders, updating of product information etc.
  • Work on special assignments assigned by Senior Category Manager.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Product Manager - APAC role is a degree holder in Business, Marketing or related disciplines with at least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably from the FMCG industry. You possess excellent command over English and Malay, with proficiency in other languages being a plus. Your disciplined approach, growth mindset, and self-motivation set you apart. You are known for your analytical and strategic thinking skills, coupled with a CAN-DO attitude. As a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, you thrive in challenging environments and are willing to travel overseas when required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected, while basic knowledge of SAP and Photoshop would be advantageous.

  • Degree holder in Business, Marketing or related disciplines.
  • At least 4 years of working experience in the same or relevant capacity, preferably from FMCG or similar industry.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Malay. Knowledge of other languages including Mandarin is advantageous.
  • Well-disciplined with growth mindset, action-oriented, self-motivated with good time management skills.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skill with CAN-DO attitude.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiastic and determined to succeed in a challenging environment.
  • Willingness to travel overseas whenever required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of SAP and Photoshop will be an advantage.
