About the Head of Marketing (Startup) Role: Reporting directly to the CEO/Founder, this role is responsible to lead their marketing efforts and drive the growth of the company. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and enhance customer engagement.
Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
Lead the development of brand positioning, messaging, and creative assets to effectively communicate our value proposition to target audiences
Oversee the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and events
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with product development, sales, and customer service initiatives
Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for growth and optimise marketing performance
Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to achieve business objectives
Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs, and provide regular reports and insights to the executive team
To succeed in the Head of Marketing (Startup) job, you will need to have a strong background in marketing strategy, brand development, and customer acquisition.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; MBA is preferred
Minimum of eight years of experience in marketing, with at least two years in a leadership role. Experience in a new startup environment is e an added advantage
Experience working in the automotive industry or with subscription-based services is a plus
Proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition and revenue growth
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision making
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels
Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and driving change
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities
