Our client is seeking a Corporate Communication Manager to join their dynamic team in Penang.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and execute communication strategies for the Asia Pacific region, working closely with internal stakeholders on cross-functional projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling content for both internal and external audiences, managing public relations campaigns, and ensuring alignment of messages across key business divisions. This role requires a professional who can work under pressure, meet intense deadlines, and proactively come up with solutions.
What you'll do:
As a Corporate Communication Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's communication strategies within the Asia Pacific region. You will be entrusted with executing projects aimed at engaging internal audiences while promoting collaboration among various stakeholders. Your ability to articulate ideas clearly, even under pressure, will be crucial as you consult on branding matters. You will also have an active role in supporting departmental initiatives related to Internal Communications. Your knack for writing, editing, and producing captivating content will be put to good use as you create material for both internal and external audiences.
- Assist the Head of Department on communications topics for the Asia Pacific region and execute projects for internal audiences.
- Support the Head of Department in production of materials in special projects, annual strategy meeting and matters relating to Asia Pacific representatives of Corporate Communications.
- Prepare reports on projects undertaken by Corporate Communications for submission to the Board and Management Committee.
- Promote collaborations between internal stakeholders and sharing information that will benefit cross-functional projects/programmes.
- Clearly articulate ideas, communications strategy in the relevant areas of expertise and able to work under pressure and intense deadlines.
- Proactively come up with solutions and comfortable to provide consultation to stakeholders, on Branding matters.
- Support and represent the Department in multiple projects and initiatives in the key areas of Internal Communications.
- Ensure alignment in messages for internal communications in collaboration with key business divisions (e.g. Manufacturing Operations and HR) to effectively engage a large workforce.
- Write, edit and produce communications content (print, online and social media) for internal and external audiences.
- Maintain the network of electronic communications platforms across the Penang manufacturing site with the support of the IT Department.
What you bring:
The ideal Corporate Communication Manager will bring a wealth of experience in developing and executing communication strategies that align with organisational goals. You will have a proven track record in managing public relations campaigns, including media relations and crisis communications. Your ability to analyse data to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies will be crucial, as will your skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously. A background in a PR agency would be advantageous, as would experience in brand management and copywriting.
- Degree in Marketing/Communications/Law/English Language/Linguistic.
- Proficiency in creating, editing and proofreading various types of content, including articles, press releases and marketing materials.
- Experience in developing and executing communication strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Experience in managing public relations campaigns including media relations and crisis communications.
- Ability to analyse data to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven decisions.
- Skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met and communication efforts are coordinated across different channels.
- PR agency background is an added advantage .
- Experience in brand management and copywriting is preferred.
