An exciting Content Manager (Finance Industry) job has just become available at one of the most respected global NGO based in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Vice president, this is a role for a content creator who is a leader in their field.

About the Content Manager (Finance Industry) Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content creation, community engagement, and financial literacy. You will develop and execute impactful content across various platforms, focusing on topics that are crucial for our target communities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging and informative blog posts, articles, and website copy tailored for B40 (lower-income) audiences.
  • Create compelling social media content (posts, stories, graphics, videos) in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, incorporating relevant humor, cultural references, and local dialects (Loghat Kelate is a plus).
  • Collaborate with financial experts, educators, and community leaders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

Community Engagement:

  • Actively engage with communities, organizations, and individuals to understand their needs and aspirations.
  • Conduct on-the-ground research to gather firsthand insights, stories, and challenges faced by the target audience.
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships and trust within the communities you serve.

Editing and Proofreading:

  • Work closely with the content team to review and edit content for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging.

Analytics and Optimization:

  • Apply SEO principles to improve the visibility and reach of online content.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance using data-driven insights.
  • Make recommendations for content improvement to maximize engagement and impact.


To succeed in the Content Manager job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in content creation, preferably in the NGO sector or with a focus on financial literacy.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Strong understanding of financial literacy concepts and the ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools, graphic design software, and video editing tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for community engagement and empowerment.
