An exciting Digital and PR Manager (Beauty Retail) role has just become available at one of the most renowned beauty companies based in Malaysia. This role reports to the Marketing Manager and Brand GM.
About the Digital and PR Manager (Beauty Retail) Role:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of digital marketing strategy, while liaising with regional digital marketing team and appointed agencies.
Key Responsibilities:

Digital and Social Media Strategy
- Develop digital content strategy that will support the delivery of the organisation’s strategic goal in branding and new customer recruitment objective
- Create social and digital media communications strategy which will promote the brand, products and services with engaging and personalised content that is relevant to the target audiences
- Deep understanding of the different target audience and media landscape to identify the best and most effective platform to communicate and engage the communities
- Print, social media and blog campaigns to generate interaction, brand exposure and new customer recruitment opportunities – identify appropriate print and social media channels for targeting campaigns
- Manage the content of the website and key social media channels, ensuring contents is timely and relevant, enhancing its usability, accessibility and positioning on search engines
- Optimise search (paid and organic), SEO and SEM effectively support the e-commerce business and digital campaigns to generate awareness and promote the Brand, product and service launches, events, etc.
- Email campaign development and implementation – develop compelling contents and reach to appropriate target market
- Continuous identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on insights
- Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate end user experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
- Measure and report performance on all digital campaigns and assess against objectives (ROIs) such as engagement level, time spend, conversion, etc.
- Monitoring and reporting on all digital activities and proactively share this information with management and team to improve the organisation brand’s presence in all relevant digital platforms
- Lead in managing media agencies, both online and offline, digital and creative agencies to ensure agencies meet all media KPIs
- Management of Internet, Media and E-commerce online expenditures
Communication Strategy
- Deep understanding of the customer’s profile and behaviour to create, write, edit and implement the communication messages that is customised, relevant and timely on various online and offline platforms including the website, supporting the marketing campaigns, press releases, etc.
- Creation of relevant and engaging content (both offline and online) by having a deep understanding of the target audience profile and behaviour at every ouch points
- Working with relevant agencies to ensure that the communication is deliver in the most efficient ways
- Develop and implement customer service response to common enquiries and ensure all are resolved and properly communications
Digital PR Management
- Digital PR include combination of brand communication, liaison with influencers and posting of creative contents via social media
- Develop close relationships with local KOLs and bloggers in order to build a winning PR strategy for content creation and management
- Develop relationships with the editorial teams from relevant third party websites e.g. Mall digital team, digital magazine team etc to ensure these sites are continuously updated with the latest product and service information
- All other relevant assignments relating to the organisation marketing communication and PR related tasks
Team Management
- Lead and supervise digital executive in executing content in all social media platform and user experience in the website
To succeed in this Digital and PR Manager (Beauty Retail) role, you will need to have a winning mentality, have a passion for learning about the industry, and the ability to cope in a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of digital experience in FMCG or digital media agency with a least two years at a managerial level
- Understanding of both traditional and digital media, with experience collaborating/working alongside media and PR agencies
- Self-motivated with strong operational discipline to deliver against financial budgets, timelines and ROI objectives
- Experience measuring performance, creating dashboards, and drawing insights for further optimisation, using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, etc.
- Highly number-driven person
- Strong communication, proactive initiative/follow-through, leadership and self-motivated
