Corporate Counsel, Legal

The Senior Corporate Counsel will provide expert legal advice, guidance, and strategic direction to support the Group’s business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires balancing commercial priorities with regulatory obligations and mitigating legal risks across all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert legal advice to the Board, Management, and internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
• Interpret complex legal issues and provide clear, practical recommendations aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, directives, and guidelines.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, assess impacts, and implement necessary changes.
• Lead legal investigations and manage litigation processes.
• Oversee engagement and performance of external legal counsel, ensuring deliverables meet the Group’s objectives.
• Work closely with procurement, secretarial, regulatory, commercial, technology, and other departments to provide legal support.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and admission to a recognized legal professional body.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as in-house counsel, in legal practice, or a combination of both. Background in telecommunications, digital, technology, and/or network industries is an advantage.
• Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret complex legislation and contractual language.
• Excellent analytical skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity and professional ethics.
• Ability to work under pressure and smanage multiple priorities.
