What you'll do:
You will be providing comprehensive legal support across various business divisions. Key responsibility included: -
- Provide comprehensive legal support and advisory services to various business divisions, specifically focusing on disputes and litigation matters.
- Overseeing, coordinating, and managing all stages of dispute resolution and litigation, involves handling complex cases and working closely with internal teams to ensure all legal aspects are addressed efficiently.
- Act as the key interface between internal stakeholders and external legal counsel, ensuring smooth coordination and communication on all litigation and dispute matters. This includes briefing external counsel, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with the company's legal strategy.
- Prepare and deliver detailed periodic reports to senior management on the status of material litigation cases, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to protect the company’s interests.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring that all actions taken comply with legal requirements while safeguarding the company’s interests. Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks in collaboration with internal teams.
- Effectively balance legal risks with commercial objectives when performing assigned tasks and duties.
- Provide clear, pragmatic, and actionable legal advice that supports decision-making, ensuring compliance with applicable laws while advancing the company’s strategic goals and protecting its interests.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this role brings a wealth of experience in the litigation matter:-
- Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience with a strong background in general litigation; prior experience in industrial relations matters is a plus.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and thrives in dynamic, challenging environments with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a continuous desire to learn, engage with diverse stakeholders, and adapt to new situations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with proven effectiveness in building relationships and driving successful outcomes.
