An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned legal professional to take on the role of Manager / Senior Manager, Litigation. This position is based in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur and offers the chance to lead the litigation division, assigning tasks, providing guidance and ensuring that work is carried out efficiently.

What you'll do:
As Manager / Senior Manager, Litigation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the litigation landscape of the organisation.
The primary responsibilities are:
- Oversee litigation cases, including appointing external lawyers and managing external lawyers to ensure pleadings and motions are filed into Court in a timely manner and to co-ordinate fact finding and evidence gathering amongst external lawyers and internal stakeholders to effectively defend the litigation cases.
- Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on litigation matters, including risk management, dispute resolution, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to manage the organization's litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and arguing motions.
- Ensure that the organization is complying with all relevant legal regulations and that its operations are in line with legal standards.
- Build relationships with external legal partners, such as law firms and government agencies, to address issues arising from management of the projects and disputes with Residences Association / Joint Management Bodies.
- Keep up-to-date with legal developments, including changes to laws and regulations, and communicate these changes to senior management and other stakeholders within the organization.

You possess strong knowledge of property development industry practices coupled with excellent team and senior management skills. You would possess the following:
- Minimum 5 - 10 years’ litigation and full trial experience, preferably in property and construction industry.
- Deep understanding of the relevant laws and regulations related to the organization's industry or sector.
- Excellent management and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Able to think strategically and make decisions that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical skills and be able to evaluate complex legal and factual issues.
