Legal Associate / Senior Associate (Private Practice)

Our client is seeking a Legal Associate with experience in Banking & Finance / Corporate & Capital Markets. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of financing transactions, providing legal and strategic support to clients across various industries. The successful candidate will have the chance to liaise with regulators, clients, and external advisors, while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What you'll do:

As a Legal Associate, you will play a key role in:

• Drafting and negotiating transaction/finance documents for bilateral, syndicated conventional/Islamic financing.
• Attending to drawdown, CP collation and issuance of opinion for closing of transactions for local and foreign lenders on various financing transactions.
• Rendering advice on regulatory and compliance issues.
• Advising on equity and/or debt capital market transactions, IPOs, M&As, JVAs and corporate restructurings.
• Drafting and reviewing transaction documents and regulatory filings.
• Providing legal and strategic support to clients across various industries.
• Liaising with regulators, clients, and external advisors.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Legal Associate position brings the following requirements:

• 1 to 5 years of relevant PQE in either Banking & Finance or Corporate/Capital Markets work
• Highly motivated, dedicated, and able to work independently with strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
• Capable of working with minimal supervision
• Possesses a good work ethic and a positive attitude; able to work effectively as part of a team
• Committed, responsible, and dependable
