Our client, a globally recognised financial markets infrastructure and data business is seeking a Senior Assistant Company Secretary to join their team in Kuala Lumpur, taking care of corporate secretarial filings for North East Asia markets predominantly China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Assistant Company Secretary, you will support as a practicing Company Secretary within the Asia region and contribute to ensuring that the implementation of corporate governance requirements are met and that appropriate legal and statutory compliance is maintained for the Group.
The primary responsibilities are:
- Provide efficient and effective company secretarial and administrative service for key subsidiaries in the Asia region
- Review changes to internal group-wide policies and assess impact on Company Secretariat
- Assist in statutory administration of subsidiaries in Asia region including maintaining statutory records
- Record keeping and responding to legal, regulatory and other external information requests, second line reviews and internal audits
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Assistant Company Secretary position is someone who brings strong international knowledge and awareness in relation to corporate secretarial and governance practices. Your ability to understand complex issues outside your experience and facilitate resolution across multiple functions will be crucial in this role.
You must also possess the following:
- Relevant and appropriate years of international experience in the corporate secretarial field (5 - 10 years)
- Experience in North East Asia markets predominantly China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea is crucial
- Strong team player who can provide support to the team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to understand complex issues outside their experience and facilitate resolution across multiple functions
- Solid experience of preparing resolutions and related paperwork for subsidiary corporate actions
- Advanced IT skills, Word, Excel, GEMs and Diligent
