Contract & Procurement Specialist (Legal)

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract & Procurement Specialist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to develop and implement strategic procurement processes, manage the full lifecycle of the tendering process, and maintain a comprehensive contract database. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating legal contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

What you'll do:

As a Contract & Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping procurement strategy and contract management. Key responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with selected suppliers.
• Develop robust Contract & Procurement strategies in alignment with stakeholder requirements.
• Lead the Invitation to Tender process, including preparation, tendering, bid evaluation, clarification, and recommendations for contract awards.
• Maintain a comprehensive contract database.
• Support the resolution of contractual disputes or claims.
• Lead and oversee the administration of contract and procurement procedures.
• Prepare and review responses related to the tendering process.
• Assess risk exposure concerning legal, financial and governance matters.
• Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on contract and procurement procedures.
• Act as the Secretary for the Company’s Tender Committee.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Contract & Procurement Specialist role brings a wealth of experience in legal contract management and procurement. Key requirements:

• Law degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate law, handling complex legal issues, contract management, and procurement.
• Solid understanding of contract drafting, negotiation, and procurement processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in procurement and contract management systems, ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office.
• Good problem-solving and organizational abilities, with a positive and can-do attitude.
