Contract & Compliance Manager

Save job

A leading company in industrial automation—building automation equipment and integrated systems used by manufacturers to improve productivity, quality, and scalability is seeking a 5-8 years experienced Contract and Compliance Manager to lead and drive legal matters.

The role offers the following exciting opportunities:

  • Shape governance, contracts, and regulatory functions that underpin international business operation.
  • Be at the heart of commercial contract management with clients and suppliers and collaborate closely with senior management and cross-functional teams, merging legal and business operations.
  • Work on cross-border functions with dealings across the region.

What you'll do:

As Contract and Compliance Manager, you will play an essential role in strengthening legal and governance frameworks that support global automation and energy operations.

  • Draft, review, and manage a wide range of contracts, agreements, and non-disclosure agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Maintain a centralised contract register while monitoring key deadlines such as renewals, obligations, milestones, and penalties to prevent lapses or missed opportunities.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract terms by escalating potential risks to management promptly when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, finance, business development, and engineering teams to align contractual commitments with operational execution.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on specialised or high-risk matters requiring expert advice or intervention.
  • Oversee the management of company licences and permits by liaising with relevant government agencies and authorities for approvals, submissions, incentive applications, and claims.
  • Track critical deadlines to guarantee timely renewals and regulatory filings that prevent any gaps in compliance.
  • Support internal departments in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements for projects and ongoing operations.
  • Develop and maintain standardised templates and processes for contracts as well as regulatory submissions to streamline documentation across the organisation.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and management reporting while providing periodic updates to senior leadership on contract performance and regulatory compliance status.

What you bring:

To excel as Contract and Compliance Manager, your background should include substantial experience managing contracts within complex organisations—ideally those operating in manufacturing or renewable energy sectors.

  • A minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in contract management, legal administration, corporate compliance or similar roles is essential.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration or a related discipline is required for this position.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing, engineering, automation or renewable energy sectors would be highly advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong risk awareness enables you to manage multiple priorities effectively without compromising quality.
  • Proven negotiation abilities allow you to secure favourable terms while maintaining positive relationships with clients, suppliers, partners or authorities.
  • Familiarity with developing standardised templates or processes for contracts enhances efficiency within the organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills enable you to maintain accurate documentation for audits as well as provide comprehensive reports to senior management.
