Associate (Capital Markets)

This role is for an Associate with appetite for capital markets, M&A's, real estate, and investments. , and general corporate and commercial transactions.

What you'll do:

As an Associate, your role will be pivotal in supporting the firm's expansion.

The primary responsibilities are:

• Drafting, reviewing, vetting, and preparing a broad range of corporate, commercial and conveyancing contracts for transactions.
• Rendering legal opinions/advice to clients by conducting extensive legal research and keeping abreast with all relevant legislations and regulations
• Manage transactions including capital markets, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and real estate.
• Liaising with clients, be it domestic or international clients including MNCs, with minimal supervision
• Proactively exploring opportunities for expanding and maintaining business relations (domestically and internationally

What you bring:

If you're a junior lawyer with a progressive mindset, ambitious, and have a genuine interest in growing a corporate portfolio, this role is for you.

• Admitted to the High Court of Malaya
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years of PQE in corporate practice
• Sound technical legal knowledge in corporate structures and corporate governance, commercial transactions
• Strong legal research skills
• Meticulous, detailed-oriented, thorough approach to work
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• High proficiency in written and spoken English
