This leading top-tier internationally affiliated law firm is seeking a driven and dedicated Associate to join their Intellectual Property practice group in Kuala Lumpur.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage local and overseas Trademark prosecution from application till registration, including search advice, hearings, and oppositions. You will also provide support for IP enforcement matters and assist in IP advisory matters. If you are committed, driven, and possess strong technical skills with a minimum upper 2nd class law degree from a well-regarded university, this could be the perfect role for you.

What you'll do:

As an Intellectual Property Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing the trademark prosecution portfolio and intellectual property advisory and enforcement.

The primary responsibilities are:

• Manage local and overseas Trademark prosecution from Application till Registration including search advice, hearings, and oppositions.
• Prepare submissions and attend ex parte hearings before Trademark Registrations.
• Provide support for opposition matters which include preparation of statutory declarations and written submissions.
• Assist in trademark expungement actions and support IP litigation.
• Assist in IP enforcement matters.
• Assist in IP advisory matters.

You must also possess the following:

• 1 - 3 years post admission experience.
• Strong technical skills with minimum upper 2nd class law degree from a well-regarded university.
• Experience in a top-tier environment is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to identify issues and possession of sound judgment are essential.
• Committed and driven with strong sense of accountability.
• Outgoing personality and leadership qualities.
• Team player.
• Willingness to travel.
