Legal Consultant

The legal services consulting arm of this global multinational UK law firm is hiring a Legal Consultant and Senior Consultant for the corporate and commercial team. What you'll do:

As a Consultant, your role will be pivotal in driving success across a range of tasks. Your expertise will be crucial in varied corporate and commercial work. Collaborating with colleagues, clients, and external partners will be key to developing effective legal strategies.

The primary responsibilities are:

• Advise on legal issues across multiple jurisdictions for different corporate and commercial projects, including conducting due diligence
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard clients' interests and maintain compliance
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in-house legal teams and various stakeholders of clients with their day-to-day functions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Legal Consultant position brings a wealth of experience in corporate and commercial matters. With a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) under your belt along with admission to the Malaysian Bar, you're well-equipped for this role. Your 1-2 years of post-admission experience focusing on corporate & M&A work sets you apart. Your excellent verbal & written communication skills coupled with your proactive mindset make you an asset to any team.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) and admission to the Malaysian Bar.
• A minimum of 1 - 3 PQE (Legal Consultant) and more than 3 PQE (Senior Consultant), with a strong focus in corporate commercial work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Enthusiasm, energy and a spirit of excellence
