This leading technology enabler providing integrated solutions and services to help businesses across a variety of industries improve performance and profit is now seeking to recruit a high-calibre candidate for a Corporate Legal Counsel job to be based at their PJ office.

About the Corporate Legal Counsel Role:
This Corporate Legal Counsel will lead the Malaysian legal team in navigating the various technology service offerings and solutions across the various industries including healthcare, oil and gas, banking and financial services, telecommunications, energy and utilities, education, consumer goods, manufacturing and the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Render legal advisory support to the business and operational functions of the enterprise Business and Consumer Business Groups.
• Contract review, drafting and negotiation for a variety of commercial and corporate transactions, including contracts and tender documentation for telecommunications, information and communications technology and procurement contracts
• Work collaboratively with various stakeholders within the group to ensure compliance of internal policies, corporate governance and regulatory requirements

To succeed in this Corporate Legal Counsel role, you would need to have a commercial mind that is able to identify and distil a variety of legal issues and clearly communicate practical risk-based solutions to the business and product teams.

Key Requirements:

• LLB (Hons) with a minimum of six years' PQE
• Prior in-house experience in commercial, corporate, telecommunications, information and communications technology is advantageous with strong contract drafting and negotiating skills
• An analytical and strategic thinker who is pragmatic and solution oriented
• Responsive, articulate and with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
