Legal Counsel

About this Legal Counsel, Role:
Reporting to the GC, Legal based in SG, you are required to render legal support to the group as well as providing commercial and general corporate legal and transactional advice, as and when required. The company provides solutions that helps their clients, including many of the world’s best brands, achieve their customer experience aspirations by harnessing technology, human intelligence, and global footprint. Their strong footprint in Asia have made this company a trusted partner for clients, particularly high growth, new economy companies looking to tap the region’s growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with internal clients to draft, review and negotiate customer, vendor and other contracts as necessary with counterparties (both locally and internationally)
• Undertake contract reviews and drafting new contracts and render legal advice and support to the group on all contractual issues, especially in relation to intellectual property, company incorporation and secretarial matters, shareholders’ agreement, commercial agreements as well as other legal related documents
• Identify and minimise legal risks and exposure to disputes and liabilities involving the group as well as prepare legal reporting to the management / monitoring risk and compliance issues arising from there
• Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time

To succeed in this Legal Counsel role, you would need to have at least five years of solid corporate/commercial experience.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from an established university
• Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for commercial transactions. Candidates with strong corporate/commercial work experience and exposure to PDPA, compliance, and anti-bribery-related matters will be viewed favourably
• Adept at legal research, analysis and problem solving
• Ability to work independently and autonomously with minimal supervision
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
