Legal Executive

This subsidiary of a Japanese corporation in the business of tyre and automotive component manufacturing is looking for a Legal Executive to manage legal affairs.

About the Legal Executive Role:
Reporting to the Vice President, this role is responsible to manage and oversee all legal affairs of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, prepare, and review agreements, contracts, and other related legal documents in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws
• Ensure proper management and administration of legal documents
• Advise the company on litigation-related matters and the latest regulatory requirements
• Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company and recommend actions to ensure compliance
• Advise on best practices and potential risks of employment law, including handling disputes and investigations (DI)
• Other duties and assignments to be assigned and instructed from time to time.

To succeed in this Legal Executive role, you would be proactive and able to work independently in this sole contributor set up and have high ethical standards.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB)
• Minimum of two to four years of work experience in a related field (preferably corporate law)
• Strong knowledge in reviewing, drafting, and research skills
• Familiar with local legal and regulatory requirements
• Must possess excellent communication skills and be fluent in both spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. Japanese language proficiency is an added advantage
