About the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Legal Role:
As the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Legal you will be responsible for rendering legal support and advice to various business and function units as well as play a pivotal role in the legal department’s continued development and the in driving the growth of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, draft and negotiate terms and conditions of agreements/legal documentation in relation to commercial and corporate transactions
• Identify legal issues, provide legal advisory and strategies for internal business and operation departments (such as sales, marketing, transport, events, insurance, tenancy, IT, procurement, theme park, property and development, construction, and engineering amongst others)
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure business interests are protected and regulatory requirements are met
• Supervise and liaise with external lawyers on litigation cases involving the group
• Keep up with latest developments in all relevant areas of laws, promote and coordinate in legal awareness sessions

To succeed in this role, you must have at least eight years of PQE, be solutions-oriented and have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of eight years of PQE with in-house experience
• Excellent drafting, analytical and solution skills
• Able to make sound commercial recommendations
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Experience in handling intellectual property related matters is an advantage
