A leading global organisation is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join their team in Kuala Lumpur, supporting end-to-end recruitment operations across the APAC region. This is an exciting opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce by ensuring seamless hiring processes and delivering an exceptional candidate journey.

What you'll do:

As a Recruitment Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with managing end-to-end recruitment operations across several countries within the APAC region.

  • Oversee the entire recruitment process for assigned countries within the APAC region, ensuring all hiring timelines are met and each stage of the process runs smoothly from start to finish.
  • Coordinate all aspects of candidate administration including scheduling interviews and assessments, preparing interview packs, and maintaining clear communication with candidates to provide a positive experience throughout their journey.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment data within internal systems, ensuring that all candidate records are properly updated at every stage of the process and supporting regular reporting through data accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate as an HR representative during interviews, documenting feedback from interview panels, administering assessments such as psychometric tests when required, and providing valuable input to support fair and effective hiring decisions.
  • Support remuneration discussions by liaising with Compensation & Benefits teams, managing offer approvals efficiently, overseeing pre-employment screening processes, and ensuring all activities comply with relevant employment legislation as well as internal policies.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and other stakeholders to understand workforce needs, share updates on recruitment progress, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the talent acquisition function.
  • Ensure that all recruitment activities are conducted in line with best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion so that every candidate feels respected and valued throughout their application process.
  • Assist in developing recruitment dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights into hiring trends, pipeline status, and key performance indicators for leadership review.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges or bottlenecks in the recruitment process and work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues quickly while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

What you bring:

To excel as a Recruitment Specialist in this role, you will bring substantial hands-on experience managing full-cycle recruitment operations across diverse geographies—ideally within Asia Pacific.

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes within a multinational or regional context, ideally covering multiple countries within Asia Pacific.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with proven ability to coordinate complex interview schedules, prepare documentation accurately, and manage competing priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities enabling you to communicate clearly with candidates at all levels as well as collaborate constructively with hiring managers and HR colleagues.
  • Meticulous attention to detail when maintaining candidate records in applicant tracking systems or similar platforms; familiarity with generating reports or dashboards is highly desirable.
  • Experience participating in interviews as part of a panel or as an HR representative; exposure to administering assessments such as psychometric tests would be advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of employment legislation relevant to recruitment activities along with knowledge of best practices relating to diversity, equity, inclusion, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to support offer management processes including remuneration discussions in partnership with Compensation & Benefits teams while ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • A proactive approach towards identifying process improvements or resolving issues collaboratively within a team-oriented environment focused on shared success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language proficiency relevant to the APAC region would be considered beneficial.
