Our client is seeking a Workforce Planning Specialist to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is at the heart of their operations, working closely with senior partners and managing directors to optimise the workforce, directly impacting profitability
You will engage regularly with internal stakeholders to understand their development needs and career ambitions, finding the right opportunities for them through project allocations. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills will be put to use daily as you interact with high-calibre teams, while your problem-solving abilities will help navigate complex situations.

What you'll do:
As a Workforce Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's organisation. You will work closely with stakeholders to optimise the deployment of resources to projects, understanding upcoming projects and their staffing requirements. Your ability to negotiate effectively will ensure a balanced skill set across case teams. Regular communication with stakeholders and office heads will keep you informed about the project pipeline, business development needs, and overall business requirements. Your active participation in Career Development meetings for consulting staff will provide valuable insights into individual development needs and strengths.
- Work with stakeholders to achieve optimum deployment of resources to projects
- Understand upcoming projects and expected staffing requirements
- Negotiate with stakeholders to ensure skill and experience balance across case teams
- Advise stakeholders on right teaming keeping in mind client needs, skill-set match and resources development needs
- Communicate regularly with the stakeholder and office heads to maintain up-to-date view of the project pipeline, business development needs and the needs of the business
- Actively participate in Career Development meetings for staffs
- Be a problem solver and ensure the right balance between needs of stakeholders in making all decisions
- Active contributor to the Regional Asia Pacific and Global teams on staffing related matters
