HR/IR Lead

About the Head, HR/IR role:
The jobholder is responsible for leading the cultural transformation of the organization through employee engagement and communication, union collaboration and productive labor-management relations to ensure business continuity, industrial peace and solid company performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- provide strategic direction to the operations to craft local labor and employee relations pans that support the business
- ensure that the labor relations capability is instilled across operations and that country leaders are equipped with basic knowledge and tools to foster a progressive approach to collaborate with unions and non-unionized employees alike
- develop and implement a diversity & inclusion strategy that provides for the right conditions for every associate in the country to thrive
- responsible for desiging and implementing the country's internal communication strategy aligned with the organization's culture and vision and BIG strategies, fostering organizational culture and involvement with the company
- Knowledge in Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967
To succeed in this role, you would need to have more than 10 years of experience in similar position or capacity. Candidates who has been exposed to international and/or regional assignments will be viewed favorably.
Key Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Human Resources or related fields
- candidates who have been exposed to working with Labour Ministry, labour experts / culture consulting firms are encouraged to apply
- experience of driving transformation in a complex organization
- experience in engaging with relevant government authorities and stakeholders in different geographies and develop proactive relations that support the business requirements / mitigate risks and challenges coming from different labor issues
- Strong leadership and good interpersonal skills.
- Great organizing, planning, strategy thinking, conceptualizing skills and ability.
- Excellent knowledge of the local market, local labor laws and extensive experience in industrial relations.
