Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist with proficiency in Japanese to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment, where your expertise in payroll processing and HR services will be highly valued. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on complex tasks requiring judgement and independent decision-making skills.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play an integral role in managing employee master data and time management for Japan. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure accurate updating of Employees' Personnel Master and Time-related data for payroll processing. You will be responsible for generating and processing various reports related to Employee Master data and Time management. In addition, you will assist the department coordinator/recruiter/Site HR with day-to-day responsibilities related to Employee Master data & Time management. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you support employee queries and resolve cases raised in system. Furthermore, you will ensure the filing system's accuracy for audit compliance and perform system testing for system configuration changes, upgrades or legal changes.

  • Handle employees’ master data and time management for Japan
  • Ensure Employees’ Personnel Master and Time related data are updated accurately for payroll processing
  • Provide timely updates and participate in daily data entry processing
  • Generate and process weekly, monthly, ad-hoc Employees Master data and Time management related reports
  • Assist department coordinator/recruiter/Site HR with day to day Employees Master data & Time management related responsibility
  • Support employees queries and resolve cases raised in system
  • Ensure filing system accuracy for audit compliance
  • Perform system testing for system configuration change, upgrade or legal change

What you bring:

As our ideal Payroll Specialist, you bring significant knowledge of government legislation impacting human resources management along with a deep understanding of company HR policies and practices. Your ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal customers sets you apart. You possess the ability to evaluate multiple highly detailed tasks, determine priorities, and organise work in a manner that allows for timely completion of projects. Your ability to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner is crucial. You are knowledgeable in computer applications including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and proficiency in SAP would be an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of government legislation impacting the practice of human resources management
  • Knowledge of company HR policies and practices, labor movement, arbitration proceedings
  • Able to communicate and write in Japanese s required as the applicants will deal for Japan's stakeholders or employees
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal customers
  • Ability to evaluate multiple highly detailed tasks, determine priorities and organise work in a manner that allows for timely completion of projects
  • Ability to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner
  • Knowledge of computer applications including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in SAP is an added advantage
  • Open to fresh graduate
