Our client is seeking a Head of Talent Management to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and implement Group talent management strategies, with a key focus on stakeholder engagement, succession identification processes, talent analytics and profiling, and advising the group Human Capital department on workforce management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for innovating talent and succession planning infrastructure, ensuring the right policies and governance are in place, and leading a team of four within the division. What you'll do:

As the Head of Talent Management, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our client's organisation. You will be responsible for developing innovative workforce planning strategies that focus on succession management and leadership development. Your role will involve partnering with management and other HR leaders to provide expertise and consultation, with the aim of continually building the leadership pipeline. You will also be responsible for ensuring a data-driven approach to talent management, including monitoring potential risks and implementing proactive mitigation actions.

  • Develop and implement workforce planning strategies pertaining to succession management
  • Innovate on Group wide talent and succession planning infrastructure to support core activities
  • Ensure right policies and governance are in place
  • Lead and ensure leadership core competencies reflect the current business needs and environment
  • Partner with Management and other HR leaders in providing expertise and consultation
  • Responsible for data-driven talent management including monitoring, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation actions
  • Provide leadership for a team of 4 team members within the division

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Head of Talent Management position, you bring a wealth of experience in talent management, particularly in conducting talent reviews and succession planning. Your competency development skills are second-to-none, as is your knowledge of psychometric assessments. You have a knack for leveraging data to make informed decisions, providing valuable insights to top management on talent-related matters. Your strong written and verbal communication skills enable you to effectively communicate across all levels within the bank.

  • Proven experience in talent management, specifically with core involvement in talent reviews and succession planning
  • Competency development and leadership development skills
  • Sound knowledge in psychometric assessment
  • Ability to leverage data for decision making and providing meaningful insights to top management
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills with ability to tailor your communication style to specific stakeholders
  • Professional facilitation and solutioning skills
