About the Head, Culture & Labour Relations Role: Reporting to the CHRO, you are responsible for leading the cultural transformation of the organisation through employee engagement and communication, union collaboration and productive labour-management relations to ensure business continuity, industrial peace and solid company performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction to the operations to craft local labour and employee relations pans that support the business
Ensure that the labour relations capability is instilled across operations and that country leaders are equipped with basic knowledge and tools to foster a progressive approach to collaborate with unions and non-unionised employees alike
Develop and implement a diversity and inclusion strategy that provides for the right conditions for every associate in the country to thrive
Design and implement the country's internal communication strategy aligned with the organisation's culture and vision and BIG strategies, fostering organisational culture and involvement with the company
Demonstrate knowledge of the Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967
To succeed in this role, you must have at least 10 years of experience in similar position or capacity. Candidates with exposure to international and/or regional assignments will be viewed favourably.
Key Requirements:
Degree/diploma in human resources or related fields
Exposure to Labour Ministry, labour experts/culture consulting firms are encouraged to apply
Experience driving transformation in a complex organisation
Experience engaging with relevant government authorities and stakeholders in different geographies and developing proactive relations that support the business requirements/mitigate risks and challenges coming from different labour issues
Strong leadership and good interpersonal skills
Great organisational, planning, strategy thinking, conceptualising skills and abilities
Excellent knowledge of the local market, local labour laws and extensive experience in industrial relations
