We are seeking an HRBP to join our team at a leading international educational institution in Malaysia. The role involves aligning HR strategies with organizational goals, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Partnership:

    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and department heads, providing guidance on HR-related matters to support business objectives.
    • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
  2. Employee Relations:

    • Foster a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting open communication.
    • Provide guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling in line with company policies.
  3. Talent Management & Development:

    • Support talent acquisition efforts by partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and attract top talent.
    • Drive initiatives for employee development, including training programs, career progression planning, and succession planning.
  4. Change Management:

    • Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes or restructuring.
    • Communicate effectively with employees to build trust and understanding during periods of change.
  5. HR Operations & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, employment regulations, and internal policies.
    • Oversee HR processes such as payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave management.
  6. Data-Driven Decision Making:

    • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to drive informed decision-making.
    • Monitor workforce trends and recommend strategies for improvement.
  7. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI):

    • Champion DEI initiatives to create an inclusive workplace that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all employees.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR generalist or business partner role, preferably within the education sector or multinational organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and employment practices.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations confidentially and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and tools; familiarity with data analytics is a plus.
