HR Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR Manager to lead the full spectrum of HR functions in our fast-growing semiconductor/chip industry organization. This role involves driving strategic HR initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Proficiency in Mandarin and a strong background in HR management within the chip/semiconductor sector are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Full Spectrum HR Management:

   • Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation & benefits, training & development, and compliance with local labor laws.
   • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.

2. Talent Acquisition & Retention:

   • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent for technical and non-technical roles within the chip/semiconductor industry.
   • Design and execute retention strategies to maintain a motivated and engaged workforce.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement:

   • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting open communication.
   • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace satisfaction and productivity.

4. HR Policies & Compliance:

   • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and regulations as well as internal policies.
   • Regularly review and update HR policies to reflect changes in legislation or organizational needs.

5. Performance Management & Development:

   • Implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee contributions effectively.
   • Identify training needs and coordinate learning programs to upskill employees in alignment with business requirements.

6. Strategic HR Planning:

   • Collaborate with senior management to forecast workforce needs and develop long-term HR plans.
   • Provide insights on market trends in the semiconductor/chip industry to inform talent strategies.

7. Cross-Cultural Communication:

   • Act as a bridge between local teams and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders (internal or external).
   • Facilitate effective communication across diverse teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the semiconductor/chip industry or a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is mandatory to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proven track record in managing the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in multinational companies or cross-cultural environments within the semiconductor/chip industry is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with HR software/tools for efficient process management.
