A rare opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Global Human Resources Business Partner Leader to join a high-performance Fintech environment in Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll do:

As Global Human Resources Business Partner Leader, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of the organisation’s people agenda. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with senior stakeholders across trading, technology, marketing, and operations functions globally.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in trading, technology, marketing, and operations across global offices by providing expert guidance on people strategies.
  • Partner with executives to design and implement talent initiatives that support business growth, scalability, and innovation within a high-performance environment.
  • Influence organisational design decisions by ensuring optimal structure, capability building, and workforce planning aligned with the firm’s strategic direction.
  • Act as both the voice of the business within HR and the voice of HR within the business to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
  • Lead the global KPI framework for HRBP, ensuring that business unit objectives are closely aligned with corporate goals and People team priorities.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards & Performance to calibrate pay-for-performance models, equity structures, and impactful recognition programmes tailored to trading results.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding to define workforce priorities and hiring strategies for niche quantitative and trading roles using market intelligence.
  • Translate workforce data into actionable insights by partnering with HR Analytics to provide predictive recommendations for leadership teams.
  • Support leaders through organisational transformations such as new product launches or market expansions by advising on team effectiveness and culture integration.

What you bring:

To excel as Global Human Resources Business Partner Leader you will bring substantial experience from senior HR roles within fast-paced proprietary trading firms or similarly demanding sectors such as fintech or high-growth technology companies.

  • Over twelve years of progressive experience in human resources management including at least five years in a senior HRBP or leadership capacity within proprietary trading, fintech or high-growth technology environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of partnering effectively with executive teams to scale organisations rapidly while managing change sensitively in complex settings.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation structures, performance management frameworks, and advanced organisational analytics relevant to high-stakes industries.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end OKR processes as well as performance enablement systems that drive measurable outcomes across multiple business units.
  • Extensive experience collaborating cross-functionally with Centres of Excellence such as Total Rewards & Performance, Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding, Learning & Development, Analytics, and People Operations.
  • Exceptional communication skills combined with strong executive presence enabling you to build trust-based relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Global exposure with demonstrated ability to navigate diverse cultural contexts while maintaining consistent standards across regions.
  • Experience supporting leaders through major organisational transformations including restructures or market expansions by advising on team effectiveness and culture integration.
  • Expertise in facilitating succession planning processes ensuring readiness of talent pipelines for critical trading and technology roles.
