We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function for an organization based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is critical in driving strategic HR initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 3-4 HR professionals and report directly to senior management. Candidates from Sarawak are strongly preferred for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Strategy & Planning:

    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning initiatives.
  2. Talent Management:

    • Oversee recruitment processes to attract top talent.
    • Manage onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
    • Implement performance management systems to drive employee engagement and productivity.
  3. Employee Relations & Engagement:

    • Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and collaboration.
    • Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
    • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  4. Training & Development:

    • Identify training needs across the organization and design relevant programs.
    • Facilitate leadership development initiatives to build internal capabilities.
  5. Compensation & Benefits:

    • Ensure competitive compensation structures that align with market benchmarks.
    • Manage payroll processes and benefits administration effectively.
  6. Compliance & Policies:

    • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Regularly review and update HR policies to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
  7. Team Leadership:

    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the HR team (3-4 direct reports).
    • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on delivering high-quality HR services.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and policy development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HR software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
