What you'll do:

As a Senior Human Resource Generalist based in Johor, you will be at the heart of the organisation’s efforts to create an inclusive and nurturing workplace. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with various teams to implement effective HR strategies that support both business goals and employee satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing sensitive information with utmost confidentiality while ensuring all HR practices align with local labour laws. By customising HR initiatives for different business units, coaching managers on best practices in performance management, facilitating onboarding processes for new hires, administering recognition programmes, and conducting exit interviews for departing staff members, you will help build a dependable network of support throughout the organisation. Your ability to communicate clearly with employees about benefits eligibility and address any concerns or grievances promptly will be essential in fostering trust. Additionally, your involvement in strategic projects alongside the Site HRBP will allow you to contribute meaningfully to workforce planning, diversity efforts, compliance matters, recruitment campaigns, compensation reviews, and ongoing training opportunities. Success in this role requires empathy, attention to detail, adaptability in handling change or challenges gracefully, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Provide senior-level support across all functional areas of Human Resources including recruitment, personnel records management, employee relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organisational development, training initiatives, and HR-related projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the Site HR Business Partner on strategic HR initiatives such as performance management, workforce planning, employee learning and development, diversity programmes, compliance matters, recruitment processes, exit procedures, and compensation-related actions.
  • Customise and deliver specific Business Unit HR initiatives by coaching managers on performance management techniques, facilitating employee development plans, and supporting succession management strategies.
  • Communicate accurate information regarding benefit eligibility and coverage to employees while proactively addressing concerns or grievances through coordinated investigations when necessary.
  • Interface with government agencies as required to ensure compliance with employment regulations and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Schedule comprehensive onboarding processes for new employees to ensure smooth integration into the organisation’s culture and operational systems.
  • Prepare detailed employee separation notices along with related documentation; conduct thorough exit interviews to provide valuable insights into voluntary separation decisions.
  • Administer performance appraisal systems and compensation programmes to guarantee effectiveness, equity, and compliance within the organisation’s framework.
  • Promote employee recognition programmes that celebrate achievements and foster a sense of belonging among staff members.
  • Assist in documenting and administering disciplinary procedures with tactfulness and discretion.

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred as it equips you with industry-specific insights relevant to this role.
