  • Work closely with leadership to drive company-wide growth strategies while benefiting from flexible working opportunities and supportive leadership.

What you'll do:

As a Human Resources Manager in Penang, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation’s people strategy. Your day-to-day activities will involve overseeing core HR functions such as claims administration and timekeeping while driving the adoption of digital systems across all plants. You will collaborate closely with leadership to design policies that nurture talent, encourage career progression, and boost employee engagement. • Supervise all aspects of HR operations including claims processing, timekeeping administration, and ensuring compliance with company procedures across various plant locations.
  • Champion the adoption and ongoing utilisation of the HR management system throughout all operational sites, providing training and support as needed to maximise effectiveness.
  • Develop comprehensive HR policies focused on talent management, career development pathways, and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Partner with senior leadership to plan, communicate, and execute strategic growth initiatives that align people development with organisational objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication between office-based staff and plant teams to ensure consistent application of HR practices and foster a sense of unity.
  • Monitor workforce trends and provide actionable insights to improve recruitment, retention, and overall team wellbeing.
  • Lead efforts to create an inclusive work environment by promoting collaborative practices and supporting under-represented groups within the organisation.
  • Coordinate training programmes that empower employees at all levels to expand their skills and contribute positively to company goals.
  • Manage employee relations issues with empathy and sensitivity, ensuring fair resolution in line with company values.
  • Continuously evaluate existing HR processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that bring structure to unstructured environments.

What you bring:

Your extensive background in human resources equips you with the expertise needed to manage complex operations across multiple sites. You bring proven experience in designing policies that promote talent development while maintaining high standards of compliance. Your collaborative nature allows you to work seamlessly with both office-based professionals and plant teams—ensuring everyone feels included in decision-making processes. As someone who thrives in dynamic environments, you excel at creating order out of ambiguity by building robust systems from scratch. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to resolve sensitive issues thoughtfully while nurturing positive relationships throughout the organisation. With your commitment to shared success, you are well-positioned to drive impactful change as Human Resources Manager.

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end HR functions over 8-10 years within corporate settings or similar industries.
  • Proven track record in overseeing HR operations including claims management, timekeeping systems, policy implementation, and compliance monitoring.
  • Expertise in developing talent management frameworks that support career progression and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams spanning both office environments and operational plant settings.
  • A self-starter mindset with a passion for bringing structure to new or evolving processes within fast-growing organisations.
  • Strong sense of ownership over outcomes combined with a commitment to delivering results that benefit both individuals and the wider team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to communicate clearly, resolve conflicts sensitively, and foster positive relationships at all levels.
