We are seeking a seasoned HR Operations Manager to lead our HR Operations Team; an experienced professional with strong expertise in Industrial and Employee Relations (IR/ER), capable of managing complex cases, fostering workplace harmony, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws. You will also oversee key HR functions such as payroll, compensation & benefits, and HR systems to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant delivery of HR services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the HR Operations Team to deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient HR services.
  • Manage all aspects of Industrial & Employee Relations (IR/ER), including disciplinary actions, grievances, domestic inquiries, and performance management.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on handling complex employee relations issues effectively.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through fair and consistent HR practices.
  • Oversee payroll processes, compensation & benefits programs, HR systems (e.g., SAP HR), and drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to align operational excellence with organizational objectives.
  • Manage budgets for HR operations while maintaining service quality and cost efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in HR roles with a strong focus on Industrial & Employee Relations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and statutory regulations.
  • Proven ability to handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and domestic inquiries effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills — adept at managing sensitive conversations professionally.
  • Resilient, decisive, and solution-driven with the ability to excel in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with core HR operations such as payroll management, compensation & benefits administration, and HRIS systems (SAP HR preferred).
  • Willingness to be based in Bangsar South.
