Our client (retail group) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People Services to lead strategic HR initiatives, drive process improvements, and manage rewards programs. This role will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and aligning business objectives with people strategies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future of People Services, positioning it as a 'One-Stop Centre of Excellence' that enhances efficiency and service delivery.
What you'll do:
As the Head of People Services, you will play a pivotal role in leading strategic HR initiatives that drive operational excellence and align business objectives with people strategies. You will lead a team responsible for managing Talent Lifecycle, Payroll, HR Technology, Mobility, and Analytics. Your role will involve collaborating across markets to ensure that People Services aligns with strategic goals. You will also spearhead onboarding processes across markets, implement digital staff purchase cards and two-factor authentication, launch On-Demand Pay and cloud-based HR systems, negotiate with vendors to achieve cost savings, and deploy Employee Self-Service (ESS) and e-payslips for stores.

As the ideal candidate for the Head of People Services role, you bring proven leadership skills in Human Resources or a related field.
