Our client is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead and facilitate effective people strategy programs. This role offers the opportunity to engage with leadership teams on a strategic level, while maintaining oversight of HR operations, payroll, engagement activities, and general administrative matters.

The successful candidate will have the chance to review, develop, and improvise HR policies to ensure they are current and aligned with business and employee needs.

What you'll do:

As a Human Resources Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy of the organisation. You will work closely with leaders to identify organisational issues and opportunities, while also overseeing HR operations, payroll, engagement activities, and general administrative matters. Your role will involve staying abreast of changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. You will also act as counsel to management on all issues of employee and industrial relations.

  • Collaborate with international teams on talent management strategy and annual performance review processes
  • Oversee payroll process ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions
  • Act as counsel to management on all issues of employee and industrial relations
  • Build and foster a culture of employee engagement that aligns with company culture and values
  • Work closely with leadership team in executing the culture agenda
  • Monitor corporate culture evolution regularly
  • Drive activities that build the right culture within the business

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Human Resources Manager position brings a wealth of experience in HR management. You should have strong working knowledge of Malaysia’s employment laws and government regulations. Proven experience in payroll administration is essential for this role. You should also possess an in-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations. A strong understanding of payroll software systems and proficiency in MS Office applications is required.

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • At least eight years of HR experience, with the last five years in a management position leading a team of HR professionals
  • Strong working knowledge of Malaysia’s employment laws and government regulations
  • Proven experience in payroll administration
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations
  • Strong understanding of payroll software systems and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong knoweldge in IR / ER
