Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager with a focus on Industrial Relations. This role is based in Shah Alam and offers an exciting opportunity to act as the primary point of contact for all people matters within the business unit.

The successful candidate will anticipate issues, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with Human Capital strategy, policies, and practices. A key aspect of this role is promoting industrial harmony to achieve business objectives and goals.

What you'll do:

As a Human Resources Manager focusing on Industrial Relations, your role will be multifaceted. You will be expected to provide professional advice to various departments, work closely with the Human Capital Centre of Excellence (COE), and ensure that services provided align with overall HR strategies. Your role will also involve maintaining relationships with unions and government authorities while ensuring fair labor practices. Additionally, you will manage all disciplinary & grievances procedures.

  • Provide professional advice and recommendations to various departments as needed
  • Work closely with the Human Capital Centre of Excellence (COE) in managing overall aspects of human resources functions
  • Ensure services provided are consistent with overall human resource strategies, objectives, policies, procedures and best practices
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with branch unions, central unions and relevant government authorities
  • Ensure fair labor practices are performed by unions and management
  • Resolve IR issues effectively through negotiations and consensus building
  • Manage all disciplinary & grievances procedures

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Human Resources Manager position brings a wealth of experience in a similar capacity. With at least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced organization, you have honed your interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills. Your assertiveness and proactive nature coupled with excellent influencing skills enable you to make sound decisions. You are comfortable engaging with employees at all levels and have strong project management skills. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required along with knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Power point.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in similar capacity and at least 3 years in a business partner capacity for a fast-paced organization
  • Required language: English, Bahasa Malaysia
  • Possess knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Power point
  • Good interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills.
  • Assertive, Proactive with excellent influencing skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
